DESCRIPTION:Learn how your support of the Foundation is cultivating student potential in Olympia’s public schools!  \n\n\n\nStudent & Community Well-Being efforts that support grants for counselors\, social workers and others\, as well as events that benefit our entire community. \n\n\n\nPrincipal’s Emergency Fund allows school staff to immediately assist students who have urgent basic needs – anything from shoes to eyeglasses\, groceries\, utility assistance\, or partial rent. Removing systemic barriers helps ensure students continue to come to class\, stay engaged in learning\, and ultimately\, feel successful in their education and life.  \n\n\n\nOpportunity Grants enhance student learning\, close opportunity gaps\, and meet needs that the district\, schools\, and parent organizations cannot. Commonly awarded requests include: library books\, extracurricular opportunities\, art projects\, musical instruments\, guest speakers/assemblies\, field trips\, school gardens\, P.E. equipment\, learning tools for students who have fallen behind due to the interruption to school caused by the pandemic\, and so much more! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nSponsorship & Donation Opportunities

SUMMARY:Roarin' & Soarin' Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:Please join the Madison PTO\, with this year’s special guest the McKenny PTO\, for this exciting annual event to benefit the students of Madison Elementary and McKenny Elementary. This walk/run provides a wonderful chance for students to experience a fun run with their friends and family\, complete with a timer\, shirt\, medals and awards! The course is open to ALL abilities. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. \n\n\n\nThe day kicks off with the 2.5k kids walk/run (1 lap around the lake) beginning at 8:30am\, which is followed by the 5k walk/run (2 laps around the lake) at 9:00am. \n\n\n\nRegister online by Friday May 10th to be guaranteed a race shirt. However if you miss the cutoff of May 10th registration will be offered at packet pickup and on the morning of the event. Details for race packet pickup will be posted online at a future date\, as well as sent to the email address that you provide to us here with your registration information. \n\n\n\nInvite neighbors\, family\, and friends to join the fun! There will be snacks and activities for everyone to enjoy.
