DESCRIPTION:From the AFSCME local 3758B Outreach Committee: We need your
  help to keep Timberland libraries open and staffed in our community! \
 n\n\n\nTimberland Regional Library (TRL) management announced a sudden b
 udget deficit last week. They immediately made the decision to layoff fr
 ontline library staff\, reduce purchasing of new books and materials\, a
 nd limit events and programs going forward. If this plan comes to pass\,
  our communities can expect more staffless libraries (like TRL did in Na
 selle in 2024) and slow\, stretched-thin service in the libraries that r
 emain staffed.&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nWith community support\, we can call on TRL
 ’s Board of Trustees to halt layoffs\, investigate the financial misma
 nagement\, and seek equitable solutions to the budget shortfall that won
 ’t interrupt library access in our communities.&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nSign up
