Thanks to overwhelming community support, three priority bills had public hearings last week! Huge thanks to the almost 6,000 community members who sent messages to legislators and testified—your voices are making a difference. Let’s keep the momentum going this week!

These bills are now headed to the Senate K-12 Education Executive Committee on January 30 at 10:30 AM.

Click on the linked bill numbers below to send a comment of support. Share your story with your legislators about why these bills matter to you! Remember: it just takes a few minutes and makes a big impact!

  1. SB 5187 – Providing adequate and predictable student transportation.
  2. SB 5192 – Concerning school district materials, supplies, and operating costs.
  3. SB 5263 – Concerning special education funding.

These two bills need your support! They’ll be heard in Education Committees this week—click the linked bill and register pro!

  • HB 1310 – Concerning Special Education Funding will have a hearing in the House Education Committee on January 30th @4pm. Register PRO by 3pm.
  • SB 5253 – Extending special education services to students with disabilities until the end of the school year in which the student turns 22 has a hearing in the Senate K-12 Education Committee January 30th@10:30am. Register PRO by 9:30am.
