ABOUT
If you live in the 98506 zip code and don’t live as far north as Boston Harbor, you’re likely in the Roosevelt catchment. Roosevelt has been around since the turn of the 20th century, but has undergone significant renovations in the 60s and most recently in 2019.

They house a Developmental Preschool program, GROW (Growth, Resilience, Opportunity, Wellness), a special education behavior program for kids with significant behavioral needs, and AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) teaches organizational, communication, and self-advocacy skills to help with college and career-readiness.

ALPS (Advanced Learning Program)
ALPS is the only dedicated highly capable elementary program in OSD. It is available to 4th and 5th graders BY INVITATION ONLY after highly capable screening. There are 28 available spots in the program.
TRANSPORT
NO DISTRICT TRANSPORT provided for students outside the Roosevelt service area for ALPS.

Reeves is near the 21 busline. The 21 busline retains its name in the system redesign on May 3, 2026.

TESTIMONIALS

I love the community at Roosevelt. We have caring and capable teachers and staff. The very active PTA provides many enriching social and educational opportunities for students. My child has a fabulous group of friends, and most live right in the neighborhood! I’m so grateful my child attended Roosevelt for all six years of elementary school.

-Parent of a 5th grader

Roosevelt feels like an elementary school should: warm, inviting, nurturing, and fun. The instructors and staff are top-notch, with nary an unkind word said about any of them. Members of the neighborhood community stand ready to support one another. It’s a great place for a kid to grow up.
