Garfield is a neighborhood school tucked away in a walkable community in West Olympia. It has the sweetest playground with a map of the EARTH on it. It is the mission of Garfield Elementary to create an environment which promotes critical thinking, respects diversity, strives to integrate understanding, and invites participation by students, staff, families, and community members.

EARLY LEARNING PROGRAMS:
  • Early Childhood Education Assistance Program (ECEAP): ECEAP (pronounced “E-Cap”) is funded by Washington State for children 3 and 4 and, in some locations, infants or toddlers who are younger than 3 years old.
SPECIAL EDUCATION:
  • DLC Program (Developmental Learning Classroom): The DLC Program serves students with moderate cognitive delays.
