Capital High School is West Olympia’s neighborhood high school. It is a short walk from Jefferson Middle School on Conger Avenue. The International Baccalaureate program replaces Advanced Placement offerings at Capital High School. International Baccalaureate is a rigorous pre-university course of study that could lead to a full IB diploma or certificate.

- AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination): The AVID class is a college preparatory elective that supports students in achieving their college dreams. AVID is designed to be a four year program that helps students develop the skills they need to succeed in college, and supports students in taking challenging high school courses.
- CTE (Career & Technical Education): CTE classes offer students hands-on experiences in many career areas, including Applied Arts & Technology, Business & Manufacturing, and Medicine.
