ABOUT
Named after the late architect, activist, and mycologist Margaret McKenny, McKenny Elementary is the newest eastside neighborhood elementary school. It sits across from LBA Park, and has served the southeast for over 35 years.Houses both the Developmental Preschool and Intensive Preschools and AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) curriculum, which teaches organizational, communication, and self-advocacy skills to help with college and career-readiness.

McKenny is dedicated to fostering a strong sense of community, extending beyond its student body. We host various community engagement events, including PTO Movie Nights, Bingo, and Trunk or Treat. Additionally, the McKenny Run Club promotes active lifestyles. Our educators are deeply committed to the success of each student. We cultivate a culture founded on collaboration and enjoyment, which enables both students and their families to flourish. Our family specifically chose McKenny during our relocation, and we are incredibly appreciative of the exceptional environment it provides. We don’t know what we would do without our MCKENNY MAGIC!
