Quick Tips for Closure Hearings (yes, we know 😞)
💟 1 minute speaking is about 150 words, and 2 minutes is about 250. If you have an accent, speech impediment, or difficulty speaking, you may be able to request more time as an accommodation.
💟 There WILL BE more than 50 people there and it will go late. Madison and McKenny were 6 hours of public comment each. Rogers Elementary was 2.5 hours, for context. Community members with no tie to the school went latest and will be up LATE. Plan accordingly.
💟 The heat is controlled by the district office. It gets COLD! THEN HOT! THEN COLD! LAYER!

💟 Whether or not you choose to speak, come visit these communities and support them in a very difficult time. Fighting for your community takes the whole community. Please attend any and ALL hearings that you can.
