Jefferson Middle School has been in part of the Westside for over 60 years, and is the most walkable middle school in the Olympia School District. They have an after school homework library, and are the only middle school with after school child care and a highly capable program.

EARLY LEARNING PROGRAMS:
- DLC Program (Developmental Learning Classroom) integrated with the Life Skills Program: The DLC Program serves students with moderate cognitive delays.
HIGHLY CAPABLE:
- JAMS (Jefferson Accelerated Math & Science): Jefferson Accelerated Math and Science (JAMS) is an integrated 3-year middle school program designed to meet the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of adolescents who seek extra academic challenge.
COLLEGE PREPARATORY (in multilingual program):
- AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination): The AVID class is a college preparatory elective that supports students in achieving their college dreams. AVID is designed in high school to be a four year program that helps students develop the skills they need to succeed in college, and supports students in taking challenging high school courses In elementary & middle school, AVID helps students learn about communication, organization, self-advocacy, & study habits.
